Hurray for your purple elephants! We all need to put a little more color into our endeavors - and sometimes, we need to color outside the lines, too. I love your story.

I came back to catch up on your blog and was going to suggest you post pictures of your ATCs. Instead, I'm trying to figure out what I was trying to say in that last sentence. Anyway, please show us your ATCs if you can.

I worked at a preschool in the early 90's where "art" meant giving the kids a coloring page and telling them to color the grass green, the bear brown, the sky blue, etc etc. I quit after three weeks. I don't have a degree but I did take child dev classes, and in the creative activities course, we were taught that the process of making something is way more important than the finished product. I grew up with coloring books, and personally, I love the little turkey that's made from painting fingers and hands, and I think purple elephants are very cool. :)
